Princess of Baloi Receives Leadership Award at the 17th Annual World Yoga Festival in New York

New York, June 16, 2016- In commemoration of 2nd International Yoga Day, World Yoga Community Inc. (Not-For-Profit-Organization) under the leadership of Guru Dileepji Maharaj, is celebrating the 17th Annual World Yoga Festival on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 3pm to 7pm at 4 West 43rd street, Social Hall, New York, NY 10036.

This glorious event will be attended by various personalities from the spiritual realm, healers, dignitaries, royalty, diplomats from the United Nations and talented musicians and performers. 

A half a day event which starts at 3pm is  packed with Meditation, Yoga Class, Asana Competition, Kiran, Bhajans, Spiritual Talk, Video Presentation, Art Show, Mantra For World Peace, Panel Discussion, International Dances, Interfaith Prayers Workshop, Music, Personal Interaction with Special Guests and Annual Award Ceremony.

Princess Raden Dato’Seri Maria Amor from the Royal House of Baloi in Lanao, Philippines, founder and president of We Care for Humanity and creator and chairman of the Global Officials of Dignity Awards is among the honorees who will receive the “Interfaith Leadership Award” for her initiatives in promoting peace and bridging the gap between the influence and the needy. “It gives me tremendous honor to receive an award from the World Yoga Community for I am a strong believer that Yoga is one of the greatest tools to achieve world peace. When mind, body and spirit have peace, the world is at peace.”, said Princess Maria Amor.

"Yoga is universal and we all have right to learn, practice, teach & propagate ", a famous quote from Guru Dileepji himself. Dileepkumar Thankappan, internationally known as “Avathuta H. H. Jagat Guru Dileepji Maharaj" (Spiritual Name) and otherwise known as "Guruji" is a world renowned Yogi from Tripunithura, Kerala, India also known as the capital of Cochin kingdom. He is an humanitarian, artist, yoga master, promoter of global oneness, culture of peace & harmony, organic & natural life style, human rights & values, indigenous issues, equality, non-violence and social & cultural development. His Interfaith family is ancient and well respected for its Vedic knowledge of Yoga, Vedanta, Universal Spirituality, Kalaripayattu (origin of martial arts), Ayurveda & other natural self healing systems, Sanskrit, Literature, Art, Social & Cultural activities and Interfaith teachings for Peace and Harmony.
